My wife and I are on a working vacation here in the green state of Washington. We are here for my 10 year high school reunion and to see friends and family we haven’t seen in a while. We did not take the video camera so you will have to read this week.

Things I learned at my 10 year high school reunion.

• People are a lot nicer than they were in high school.
• Life was hard on most people.
• Most people had settled on mediocre jobs and had given up on their dreams.
• When people are nervous, they drink a lot. I think I was the only sober one.
• Some people will surprise you.

I really enjoyed going back and seeing all the folks I used to go to school with. Only about half of my graduating class attended. The one thing that really stood out from everything else was that people were comfortable.

How many times have you heard that the best way to invest, whether it’s in the stock market or real estate, is to buy low and sell high? Now how many times have you actually followed that advice? If you’re like most people, I’m assuming that it’s something that sounds good in theory but when it comes to taking action, you suffer from analysis paralysis. I hear the excuses day in and day out when talking to other investors our would be investors on why they won’t be purchasing in our market right now.
