Motivation in Real Estate
I was writing a letter to my sister in Florida earlier today and I wrote a sentence that caught me by surprise and I would like to share it with you.
“Most people can only tell you how something won’t work.”

I was trying to give my sister hope and motivation and this sentence popped into my head. Most people fail because they listen to “most” people. If all you can imagine is failure and you get caught up in how everything can go wrong and why it won’t work, it will be impossible for you to succeed. This is a new year and it is time to take a stand. No more listening to the naysayers about how something won’t work. Put your mind and heart into, think about how it will work and bury the naysayers with accomplishment!
Surround yourself with like minded, helpful people who want to see you succeed! Network with those who want to see your dream come true. Many successful people have said you are the sum of the top five people you hang out with. Make a commitment to attend a networking event at least once a week. Make new friends who will grow your business and increase your profit. Below are some of the meeting I attend and look forward to every month. For those of you who want to meet me, this is a great way. I am always at these meetings.
Renegade Detroit Investors
Renegade Detroit Investors meeting is my favorite. There are no sales from the front so you don’t have to worry about “getting sold”. The founder Jared Pomranky did such a great job and impressed me so much with these meeting that we started a business together! (This is why you have to network people!). They always have great information to offer and the people I meet there are active investors with much to contribute. Everyone truly cares about each others successes and believe in cooperation with other investors. This is the cheapest education you will get in real estate by those who are actually doing.

The Power to Be Free
This one caught me by surprise. I met the founder Darrick Scruggs at a Renegade Detroit Investors meeting (see why it is important to network!) and we hit it off right away. Darrick told me about his team and his monthly meetings and I decided to make the effort to go to a meeting. Wow. The people I met were awesome, the speaker was the best I have ever heard (don’t worry, I’m trying to get him for Renegade Detroit Investors), and the information presented was incredibly useful in my everyday business. The only down side is the meeting starts on a Saturday morning at 9AM. Well worth it though. The best part is that this monthly meeting is free! You literally can’t afford to miss this meeting!

Book I’m reading that I recommend
The Millionaire Real Estate Investor by Gary Keller
I wish I would have bought this book 2 ½ years ago when I first got started in real estate. I could have saved myself thousands of dollars in seminars and mistakes from the school of hard knocks! I’m serious! I read at least 4 books a month. This is the BEST book on real estate investing that I have ever read. It is practicle, easy to follow, and has no fluff. The reason I wrote the networking part of this newsletter is because of this book. I did on accident what this book confirms is one of the best ways to build wealth. Network.
